Boss Babe Spotlight: Kayla Anderson!

Each & every Wednesday for “Woman Crush Wednesdays”, an entrepreneuHER is selected to be featured in the “Boss Babe Spotlight” Series. This series has been curated to shine some light on the small businesses of women who are unapologetically and authentically being themselves while leaving a footprint behind in the world that they live in.

WHO’S UP NEXT?

Today, I am featuring: Kayla Anderson aka “The Lush Diva”! Recently, I had the chance to interview Kayla and learn some new and exciting things about her. I want to thank her for taking the time to speak with me so that I could shine some light on all of her dopeness and share it with you all. I certainly look forward to continuing to curate, collaborate, create and celebrate with her in the future! You can shower her with your support by shopping her 3D Mink Lash Collection: Lashes by Lush or by subscribing to her YouTube reviews & hauls! Sit back, relax, pour a glass of wine and read about what she shared with me:

What do you want people to know about you and your business?

LushDivas’ Ltd Co, TheLushDiva.com, is a spot where any woman can stop by and pick up something that will help them grow in their confidence as a woman. This may be a new or Lush Thrift outfit; this may be a pair of mink lashes, or it may simply be catching up with one of our blogs for tips and tricks – but either way there’s something for all woman to help them grow in their self confidence and self love!

What drives you as a business owner?

As a business owner my clients really drive me. Even if there is 1 or 2 clients a day, I know they are counting on me – not just to sell them things but to provide quality service, and to be dynamic and growing! It also is very important to finish something that I started! Business is like a baby and you can’t just abandon it! So i’m definitely in business for the long run.

What kind of legacy/footprint do you want to leave behind?

I want to create an environment, especially here in my area, of women supporting women. When I’m gone, I want people to think of me personally – not just my business – as someone who was truly dedicated to helping women understand the power and beauty they hold within themselves and how to tap into it.

What knowledge would you like to impart on other small business owners, both new & aspiring and old & experienced?

Being the most important thing that I would want to share is that the key to any successful business is consistency and dedication. Progress doesn’t happen overnight you have to truly be invested in what you do, emotionally physically and spiritually. Business is a long tough road that requires you to give a lot – it’s like a relationship and you truly have to be in it for the long haul.

What does being a “boss babe” mean to you?

To me, boss babe is a woman who walks unapologetically in her purpose despite the level or achievements of the span of her career. When you’re a  boss babe that means that your goals and aspirations are inherently tied to personality,The way that you carry yourself and the way that you conduct your business. Being a boss babe means being that chick!

If you had to pick a phrase to serve as your words of affirmation, what would it be?

When I was 13, I heard this song by too short in which he said “get hype with it, it’s your chance” (lol I know right) but those words always resonated with me! I’m serious! You never know when your last moment will come and so do you want let it go by while your being scary and in a corner or do you want to step out in all your womanhood and take the chance to show out!

Are there any other special gifts or talents that you have that you’d like to share?

I don’t think I would even consider myself gifted or talented it’s just that once I have a vision for something I’m really dedicated to seeing it through and that consistency is really what people are seeing in the growth of my business and my brand.  it’s nothing special that you don’t have. if you dedicate yourself and you’re  consistent then you can show growth as well.
