First, let me start off by getting into these digs of the venue that hosted this amazing workshop curated by The Spoiled Writer aka Kelly. Many of you know that I dibble and dabble into interior design. So it should be a no brainer as to why the chosen venue excited me and made me fall head over heels in love with it! OMG, the aesthetics of Career Sisters was beyond beautiful! What do you think?

If you are looking for a workspace where boss babes (either your own tribe or you can find one) drop in during the week and weekends and can help you brainstorm ideas or bounce the ones you already have in your head OR if you are looking for a venue to host an event at, look no further! Membership starts at $30 dollars a month! Check them out! I hope that they expand to open up a location on the south side of town!

They say that iron sharpens iron. More & more I have been intentionally inserting myself in spaces that encourage, uplift and inspire me to grow and push me out of my comfort zone. As a entrepreneur, I can truly say that this workshop did just that for me. I tapped into my purpose more than I have done before and my fears were challenged by my peers. This workshop was excellent! I walked away having had learned so much as well as met new boss babes who I can continue to grow with. We each poured into each other. I came with my best friend, Sharai in tow, but left having had formed a sisterhood with our long lost cousins, Nikia & Martine. Thanks Kelly for being such an amazing facilitator and for a great afternoon filled with learning!

Here’s a few major takeaways for me:

Identify your target audience and even more so your ideal client. What are her likes & dislikes? What does she do for a living? What are her hobbies? Etc…

Hone in on your unique selling point/preposition. What makes your business unique? How is yours different?

Utilize your Instagram analytics. Use it to help you navigate on how to use this platform more effectively. Ie. When’s the best time to post? When are your followers on the most?
