The Nekesa’s Natural Radiance Hair Loft Experience w/ Teresa

After combing through several hair dos, as I had been rocking several protective hair styles (faux locs, box braids & wigs) for the past year after doing a big chop, I decided to embrace my natural hair. I found Nekesa’s Natural Radiance Hair Loft by searching several hashtags on Instagram which led me to StyleSeat and ultimately in a salon chair in College Park!

I called the salon and Teresa answered the phone. She was so warm & welcoming! She was also very knowledgeable and made me feel like I was in great hands. We scheduled my appointment for that upcoming Thursday. The hours and location worked perfectly for me as I do not drive (they are located right across the street from the College Park MARTA Station) and I work long hours as an educator (my appointment was at 6:30 PM).

Upon entering the salon, I was impressed. The atmosphere was just as welcoming as our initial phone conversation. We spoke about what look I was trying to achieve and she prescribed for me what she felt was best for me, my lifestyle and my hair type.

Teresa commenced to detangle my hair, cut and shape it, add some color, shampoo and condition my hair, sit me under the steamer and then style it by doing coils and flat twists. After sitting under the dryer (and not being forgotten LOL), she put the finishing touches on my hair. Teresa then spun me around and handed me a mirror so that I could get a better look at my hair. When I tell yall that I was in love with my hair and Teresa’s ability to bring my vision to life…. hunti! Let’s just say that I’ll be booking another appointment pretty soon so that she can work her magic again!

Thank you, Teresa! My hair & I love you! If you are looking for someone to care for your natural hair in Atlanta, look no further!
